Lady added to Sponsored Dogs

UPDATE 2-23-2011—

Lady is our 3 year old cocker spaniel. When we first saw her, she was hiding under a chair, while her brother ate her lunch. When she was offered to us, we were so excited to bring her home.

She was always nervous when it came time to eat, as she thought someone else might take it. Thank goodness after about a year, she became comfortable eating.

Lady looks just like “lady” in the “Lady and the Tramp” movie. She is just as sweet and charming as any dog can be.

When we noticed the lump on her side, we never thought it could be serious. When the vet said it was cancer and that she had never seen a lump so big, we became worried. I looked up cancer hospitals near Sacramento and found the UC Davis Center. They were so wonderful to see Lady right away.

We were worried during surgery, but they confirmed that the lump did not spread and that they got the margins they were looking for.

She was so happy to come home and we just got her stitches removed today. She is back to new. We are so very thankful to Canine Cancer Awareness for being there for us and Lady.

Thank You for your kind donation and your quick answer. You saved Lady’s life.
