After reading Mali’s story, I have been given hope. First, I am so sorry for your loss. Second, my beloved Rocky was diagnosed with HSA about a month ago. I work in a Veterinary Laboratory located in a Referral center filled with wonderful ER vets and specialists. After an emergency splenectomy he developed an arrythmia 72 hours post op. The cardiologist performed an echocardiogram and found a 2cm mass in his right atrium. We now have Rocky at home on an anti-arrythmic and he seems to be doing good. But I have been preparing my self for the loss due to the poor prognosis. After reading Mali’s story about defeating the odds, I have hope! My Rocky is a fighter and I hope and pray I can share a similar story. He is an 8 year old Border Collie mix who is filled with a lot of love and life! I pray for MANY more days, or months that I can share this love and life with him. Thank you for sharing your story.
