Apply for Financial Assistance

We realize that treatments for canine cancer are very costly and can create financial hardship. If you are struggling and need assistance to provide your dog with cancer treatment you are encouraged to download an application for financial assistance.

In order to focus our efforts effectively, Canine Cancer Awareness has adopted the policies below:

  • Confirmed Cancer Diagnosis Needed — You need to have a confirmed cancer diagnosis from your veterinarian to have the application reviewed.
  • Payments to Vets Only — It is our policy to make payments directly to the vet/oncologist only.
  • Only Future Bills Considered — We can only consider charges that are incurred once a completed application is received. Any charges that are incurred before the completion date of the application cannot be considered. We do not make or reimburse any payments to Care Credit.

To apply for assistance follow these steps:

  1. Submit a Completed Application — Download the application packet below. You and your vet will need to work together to complete this application.
  2. Receive your Application Completion Date — An application is considered complete once all required documents have been provided and the entire application has been correctly filled out and submitted. Any correspondence with you to request missing information, additional information, or to confirm veterinary information is not an indication in any way of approval of an application. We simply need to have clear and complete financial and veterinary information.
  3. Submit to CCA Board Review — Once the application is complete, we confirm all veterinary/oncology information with the vet/oncologist and complete a financial review. At this point the application is reviewed by CCA’s Board of Directors.
  4. Notice of Award & Amount or Denial — Our funds are limited, and sadly it is impossible to help all the dogs that come to us. A completed application does not guarantee that we will be able to donate funds, nor does a denied application indicate a lack of compassion or desire to help — it simply means that we cannot help at this time. Financial assistance will be awarded at the sole discretion of CCA’s Board of Directors. Canine Cancer Awareness reserves the right to reject applications with or without cause and based on the availability of funds.
  5. Future Payments Sent to Vet — If an application is approved, we request that the vet send invoices directly to CCA to be paid by our organization. All payments go directly to the veterinarian based on newly submitted invoices which are dated after completion and approval of the application.
  6. Join the Sponsors Needed Page — Send us your story and photos and we will post it on our Sponsors Needed page. You can collect donations on this page for your dog through PayPal.

Please email us at info@caninecancerawareness.org if you have any questions or to return your completed application along with the required supporting documentation. We apologize, but we do not accept phone calls.
